Eagle Inn in Janesville

I hate to change this to 4 stars. This place is always so good! Today was different. Got there at 2:15, waited about 5 minutes to be seated, not bad. 10 minutes after being seated, a hostess (not my server) offered me coffee which I normally recieve immediately upon seating. 5 or so minutes later my server took my order. 10 minutes later I got the orange juice I ordered, again, strange. Proceeded to wait 35-40 minutes and then headed for the door. The hostess that initially brought my coffee apologized for the wait, but I was done at that point, I tipped her because she seemed to be the only person that cared I was there. Will definitely be back, but terrible experience.

So happy to see this restaurant open again. Food is good and plentiful. Staff is friendly . They are being super careful with sanitizing. I was very impressed

Quick meal & great service

Prices high. But waitress asked if I wanted more coffee. I said sure. Never brought any. They need to have separate prices without potatoes & bread.

Very nice place to eat at---quite family orientated. The waitress was very efficient. The food was quite nice and a good serving. The 3 of us, myself, wife and mother-in-law, were impressed. I do believe we will be returning. All of us would highly recommend this restaurant. The special senior menu had a number of entrees to pick from and was reasonably priced.

Most excellent food for a very reasonable price

Very concerned during this time of covid-19. Food was excellent and served warm and safely. Great atmosphere and cleanliness are top of their list.

THIS IS YHE MOST DISCUSSING PLACE TO EAT !!!!!!! THE BLTS I ORDERED IS 3 DAY OLD BACON ! I JUS NO, NOT h APPENING I am !!!! OFF THE BACON AND TRIED TO EAT A LETTUCE AND TOMATO SANDWICH BUT THE FLAVOR OF THE OLD BACON

Best food and decent prices the waitress it's good you don't have to wait too long to get a table and order the food that food comes out pretty quick best restaurant ever

Only 2nd place I've tried something as yummy as the stuffed tomato plate was very yummy and healthy choice option the creamy chicken rice was delicious too today :)

It's always a pleasure to go to Eagle. We are never disappointed with food or service. Always a full cup of coffee and all day breakfast. All around great place to eat.

This is a nice family restaurant with good food and friendly service.

We were looking forward to returning to the Eagle Inn for breakfast. We were in for a shock. We are all for safety but not harrassment of good customers. First we were told to keep the mask on except when eating - we can live with that. We were then told not to look for breakfast specials since they aren't worth it. Three times they stopped by the table to tell us to put the masks on between sips of coffee. That would actually spread germs worse. The bill for two small breakfasts was $25 - at least 50% higher than other local restuarants that actually appreciate customers. Perhaps the owner had a problem but we are not about to try again.

Best breakfast in janesville hands down great service and food in 4 minutes! Dont let the small plates fool you the lumberjack skillet for $9 is 2 full meals. Will definitely be making this a regular stop.

Some of the best service in the city. Very reasonable prices and great portions. Wide ranging menu with daily specials. All around my first choice for a family restaurant in Janesville. I ordered a ham dinner and the slice of ham was literally as big as the plate.

I took my intern out for breakfast and I can attest to the fact that the Eagle Inn Family Restaurant really KNOCKS IT OUT OF THE PARK with their coffee with specialty creamers, medium rare sirloin steak, over easy eggs, hashbrowns, and pancakes.Check it out if you are ever visiting the jewel of the south.

Food was gross. Had the Mexican skillet and the meat tasted like it was from 2 weeks ago ended up eating the eggs and a pancake. Very questionable. Definitely won't be back

One of the best places in Janesville for breakfast, I rate it in the Citrus Cafe as about equal followed by Park City Cafe

Their hours kinda suck but we finally got to eat there today, and I swear they've only gotten better since I was there last about 5 years ago.. amazing food, worth the wait, friendly staff, and we even got a 5 top right away with a full parking lot. Highly recommend.
